Gone With The Wind

Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell was published in 1936 and won a Pulitzer prize in 1937. Her work relates the story of Scarlett O'Hara, a rebellious Georgia woman, and her relationships with friends, family and lovers in the midst of the pre-war South, the American Civil War and the Reconstruction period.

Oh and it also tells the story of the love that blooms between Scarlett and Rhett Butler.

The 1939 film won 10 Academy Awards.
